Located within the beautiful Willamette Valley, just 30 minutes outside of Portland and 15 minutes from Salem, the City of Woodburn, Oregon, is seeking a Police Chief who will be a strong leader for a dedicated staff in an organization that places a high value on outstanding service and ethics. This position provides an experienced leader a challenging and rewarding opportunity to make a difference in a diverse community known for its friendly and supportive nature toward law enforcement.

The Woodburn Police Department operates with a budget of $7.2 million, and is staffed by 34 sworn police officers. Working under the supervision of the City Administrator, the Police Chief plans, administers and directs the functions, activities and operations of the department.

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law Enforcement or related degree. Minimum of eight years of law enforcement experience, including a minimum of four years at a mid-management level, required. Must meet Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training physical standards. Must possess or be able to attain a DPSST Executive Certificate and a valid Oregon driver license.
